We are a motorcycle group. We define a motorcycle as a vehicle that has handlebars and is designed to be straddled when ridden solo or two- up if there is a passenger. The new side by sides that are hitting the market, i.e. Polaris' Slingshot and others are not compatible with the group riding we do. The 3 wheeled Can-Ams for instance meet the criteria as do traditional trikes.
The brand of bike doesn't matter; we don't care if you have a Harley, Yamaha, Suzuki, Triumph, BMW, Honda or something you put together in your garage out of spare parts.
Safety is a priority for bikers in general and group riding in particular.
We strongly encourage use of hand signals to communicate with others in the group and we will recap those signals before each ride.
Appropriate riding apparel is also important.
We recommend:
• DOT approved helmet
• Eye protection
• Long-sleeve abrasion resistant upper garment
• Long pants
• Boots or motorcycle specific riding shoes
