GREENSBORO CRUISERS

Your motorcycle rides (or other events) with the Greensboro Cruisers will cover a tremendous variety of riding conditions ranging from interstate highways to twisty mountain roads, smooth, well-tended streets and highways to gravel roads. On any road, there is the possibility of sand, gravel, or debris on the pavement, and even the possibility of rain, hail, thunderstorms or fog while on your ride. Elevations will change and some rides will be at sea-level and others may climb as high as 6,684 feet.

Motorcycle riding exposes you to temperature extremes that vary widely, and are typically related to the elevation or region in which we are riding. This is not a place for novices or a place to learn to ride a motorcycle. It is important that you, the ride participant(s) is/are in reasonable physical health, and accustomed to spending all day long aboard a motorcycle.

AGREEMENT:

I (We) understand that operating a motorcycle is an activity that contains considerable risk of serious personal injury, paralysis, dismemberment, property damage, loss, and possible death. I(We) further understand that riding a motorcycle is subject to both foreseeable and unforeseeable risks and dangers.

I (We) hereby knowingly and freely accept the risks of all personal injury and property damage to both myself, my passenger, and to others arising from my (our) participation in a Greensboro Cruisers Motorcycle Ride or other Greensboro Cruiser event. I understand the inherent risks of motorcycle riding and I also understand that the Greensboro Cruisers and its officers intend to promote, but in no way guaranty, the safety of all event participants.

I (We) DO HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, HOLD HARMLESS AND AGREE THAT MY

(OUR) DEPENDENTS HEIRS, SUCCESSORS, EXECUTORS AND ASSIGNS DO RELEASE, WAIVE,

DISCHARGE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGAINST, AND INDEMNIFY GREENSBORO CRUISERS, ITS

OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND ASSIGNS

(COLLECTIVELY, “RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, WHETHER CIVIL OR

CRIMINAL, INCLUDING CLAIMS OF DEATH, BODILY INJURY, ILLNESS, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR

LOSS, HOWEVER CAUSED, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO A GREENSBORO CRUISERS

MOTORCYCLE RIDE OR EVENT OR ACTIVITY, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE FAILURE TO ACT OR

NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERS.

I further agree that this Agreement and Release of Liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law and that if any portion hereof is held invalid, the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.

I (We) agree to ride within my riding ability and agree to not be influenced by any group or pack mentality to ride faster than is within my (our) ability, or what I consider to be safe riding conditions. Nor will I (We) be influenced by riding displays by my (our) fellow ride participants nor ride guides that could be considered unsafe. I (We) fully understand that I (We) may encounter riding conditions and roads that I (We) have not traveled before, have no prior knowledge of, and therefore will ride within a manner that is considered safe and consistent with my (our) riding skill set, considering road, traffic, weather and other conditions.

I certify (driver only) that I am a licensed motorcycle operator and that I hold a currently valid, state issued motorcycle license or endorsement to my driver’s license. I (We) further certify that I (We) am/are in good health and have no mental or physical impairments that may affect my (our) safety or the safety of the group.

I (We) understand that I (We) will wear a helmet in the states where it is required by state law, and when in those states where helmet use is optional, I (We) understand the choice of wearing a helmet or not, is solely my (our) own.

I (We) understand that when traveling with a passenger, the passenger is required to conform to all state laws including (but not limited to): the use of a helmet where it is required by state law, sitting on the motorcycle's passenger seat, and the passenger's feet being able to reach the motorcycle's passenger foot pegs.

Greensboro Cruisers expressly prohibits the use of any illegal drug or drugs during any of our rides. Anyone found to have used illegal drugs at any time during a motorcycle ride, or to be, in the opinion of the Ride Organizer to be impaired in any way (due to drugs or alcohol, fatigue, through the use of prescription or nonprescription medicines, or though any other action or behavior that may inhibit the rider from controlling his/her bike adequately) will be expelled from the ride or prohibited from riding the remainder of the ride. If there was a fee paid to participate in

the ride, it will not be refunded should the rider be asked to leave the ride by the Ride Organizer or any of the Greensboro Cruiser Officers.

Annual Membership fees are due after participating in three group events, rides, or meetings. If, after paying your dues, you choose to leave the group for any reason, or are expelled from a ride or banned by a Greensboro Cruiser Officer from participating in any group activity, including, but not limited to rides, social functions, website and forum activities, your Annual dues will not be reimbursed.
